Being from the golf community and looking for places to play golf was a real pain. Yes there are directories that list every course, but these are seldom visited in person or by the same team, so the ratings are not balanced. The information is incredibly basic and in general, they offer very little in terms of a true service.
So out of frustration along comes whichgolfcourse.com, where our goal is to visit each and every golf course, shop, range across Yorkshire and offer full reviews, photography and a completely impartial review for all levels of golfers.
Quality of the golf course – Overall how well maintained the course is
Levels of challenge the course offers – How difficult the course is and who would it best suit
Course Amenities – What’s on offer once you are at the course (and yes the bigger course will score higher but this is about helping users to plan their golf experience rather than a points gaining exercise)
Overall Service – The staff, the experience for booking, arriving etc
Value for money – As its says on the tin, was this worth the green fee
Everything is personal preference but the reviews are always totally objective and there is
In a world of digital and AI or even outsourcing, we’ve gone old school and kept things as basic and pure as possible, by being at the location to experience it as you would.
Plus where is the fun in managing a review website if we simply outsource or re-using any reviews? It’s a genuine reason to get out there and play golf !
