A municipal venue that feels like more like a private course!
The facilities at Bradley are respectfully adequate with excellent ground and shop staff, but it’s the course that really offers that private course experience. The ground staff have done an amazing job on keeping the greens nice and fast, the fairways are in excellent condition and the rough is kept to a challenging but clean minimum.
The different between the holes and the contours that you will encounter are iconic of the Yorkshire rolling hills, with deep valleys you’re either driving into or driving across, you’ll enjoy the experience of a truly memorable and well looked after Yorkshire golf course.
A hole to remember
Hole #5 is a slight dogleg left 493 Yard Par 5 ripper ! The tee is slightly elevated, and you are faced with a huge drive down an ample fairway. With a favourable back wind and a dry course, you could take advantage of the downhill fairway and gain extra yards from a decent bounce.
There is a large (dry) hazard that run across the fairway which is approx 100 – 150 yards from the pin. As mentioned the hole is a slight dogleg left and is protected to the left and right by woodland so judging your approach distance is vital to hit the green from this area.
The green is protected but several hidden bunkers but is a decent size to target. Looking back up the fairway towards the tee box just shows the distance covered and any anyone putting for par or even birdie have done exceptionally well. There is slight bowling to the green so any ball placed near the end will simply roll back off so it’s essential to aim beyond this point.
