An 18 hole Golf Course, Driving Range, Pirate Mini Golf & Lodges.

Kingswood golf course is a family run business catering for all golfing needs over the last 30 years. This place could be a great base for families or friends wanting to do multisite destinations, Yorkshire Wildlife park is only 10 miles away or even closer is Doncaster race course so this could be a great choice to do a good number of activities.

The reason this golf course could be a multisite destination is due to the fact that they have five lakeside lodges on site offering the perfect play and stay option. The lodges look great and overlook the 18th hole, they all have private hot tubs for the perfect solution for a dip post play and sleep up to 4. They are bookable via the golf web and look to be reasonably priced.

The mini golf is just to the left of the main carpark and is called adventure land, it features a fun packed 12 hole obstacles, which is open everyday and also available for for kids parties.

The main driving range can be found at the back of the very well stocked golf club house, its 10 bay floodlit driving range has ample space with a performance bay at the end for private lessons.

Located in Hatfield, near Doncaster

We last visited this course during a real bad spell of weather so the course was slightly below par (excuse the pun) so there were areas which were incredibly boggy and the soil irrigation wasn’t that great, so we would suggest that you do plan your trips around dry days to ensure that you get the best from this course.

On a dry day the course does offer a decent level of competition and the holes are incredibly varied, if you are walking this course it does feel like a longer than most (which isn’t a bad thing).

A hole to remember

Hole #8 is a 173 Yard Par 3 with a stroke index of 10.

The tee box is on an elevated position approximately 10 foot about the level of the green so visibility is perfect. The real obstacle on this hole is the 150 yard lake that feel 3 times it’s size when you are stood up on the box ready to strike the ball.

Don’t think that if you clear the water its plain sailing from her on as there is another water hazard that runs right through the course. There is this 10 foot waterway ditch in-between the green and the lake.

The reward is great for players hitting the green as its big enough and very flat. There are bunkers to the left and side right of the green but luckily these are not that deep.

We booked here as all other courses near here were booked up, easy to see why this one wasn't though, £18 for 18 holes... is not worth it at this quality of course, most of the signage is missing and it's difficult to know where to go, most of the hole and yardage signs are missing and the greens was like putting on a cobbled street, not sure what they have done but it's horrendous and will not be going there again, it by far the worst I have every played.read more

We have spent 4 nights here and will be back without a doubt! Lodge is modern and very clean and the location is... perfect, with good pubs and restaurants not too far away and the club on site is great too if you don’t want to stray too far away. We have had the most relaxing time and the staff and owners on site have been brill! We felt the price was more than fair also and definitely worth a mention, as it feels a lot of places overcharge for what you get - definitely not the case here as we were well impressed! Thanks again!read more

Played here alot in the past and enjoyed the course. Played the course this week. Most tee boxes are horrendous, alot... of the greens didnt have grass on them so putting was difficult with the ball bobbling along. The majorty of fairways were water hazzards. On the round greenkeepers were out raking bunkers should of priortised getting the fairways playable, really spoilt the roundread more

Lovely lodge, I’d say it was clean but…. There was Bombay mix under the table, a lot of it. Also there was opened... packets of sweets under the sofas. I’m assuming the cleaning only happens around the furniture. 4 of us stayed and we only had 2 towels (more where given to us after I brought it to there attention) we also only had 1 and a half toilet rolls, which isn’t really enough for 4 people over 3 nights. There also isn’t a hoover so if you made a mess you couldn’t clean it up. No Wi-Fi, which wasn’t a huge problem because we was just chilling out but it’s 2022 and I guess just something that has become essential. Overall we still enjoyed our stay. We would stay again and would still recommend people to stay but I would probably try other places in the area first.read more

Great course with quite alot. Even if you want to just take the kids to crazy golf. They have club pros that do lessons... from the indoor range with the technology to adjust your swing and clubs. The costs are very low but also have a good shop. They do have a bar however its closed due to covid. Seem to always get a tee off time. Will be playing here regular 💪👍👏read more
