Overview
Summary
A one of it's kind experience, this copycat 6 hole golf course takes direct inspriation from a selection the most famous golf holes across the world.
A short hole golf course nestled in rural Harrogate, North Yorkshire
This course is a 660 yard Par 18, series of tricky Par 3 holes. Set alongside a state-of-the-art trackman driving range and a well-stocked golf shop this course is in a fantastic location alongside other great golfing facilities.
It’s well worth booking a trip to the driving range to get yourself warmed up and ready, leave the driver in the bag (or even at home) as the longest hole is only 139 yards but don’t let that lead you into a false sense of security.
The course starts gently and slowly gets harder and harder and will challenge even the low-level handicappers. See the following videos from a very young Rick Sheils when he played the course with his youtube friend Peter Finch a few years ago.
There is also a putting green and chipping area for you to hone your skills before you take on this ultimate challenge!
6 golf holes from across the world
4 trains, 2 planes and about 8,000 miles span the course of these famous golf courses. The concept behind this golf course is amazing, they have taken a blank canvas and transformed it into 6 well-chosen Par 3’s all of varying difficulty from across the globe. Probably the most famous and most recognisable is hole #5, which is taken from hole #17 at Sawgrass which is a direct replica of the actual 137 yard hole and is the closest thing to actually being there.
Breakdown of each hole
Hole #1 Wentworth 139 Yards
Hole #2 Augusta 99 Yards
Hole #3 Sunningdale 71 Yards
Hole #4 St.Andrews 92 Yards
Hole #5 Sawgrass 137 Yards
Hole #6 Carnoustie 122 Yards
A hole to remember
The Signature 5th hole draws inspiration from the renowned 17th hole at Sawgrass, Florida. Covering the same distance of 137 yards, this challenging tee shot directs players towards an island green, amplifying the importance of selecting the right club.
Accuracy is vital, if you are new to the game or find your accuracy does waver, then playing the sensible shot of laying up either short to the front of the water, or aiming long at the far left will still give you a tricky chip onto the green, but you will still have chance to make par.
When you step onto this green you won’t believe how many contours there are and how challenging it is to land the ball on the green anywhere near the flag.
