There are currently five 9 holes golf courses situation around the city of Leeds suitable for all levels of golfer.
There is a real mixture of courses and surroundings to choose from, the cheapest is the urban city course of city golf, which starts from £5 and pay & play and is focused towards beginners. We also have rural courses such as Fulneck, which epitomises the Yorkshire landscapes and finally destination golf centres of Oulton Hall, which has everything a golfer could ever wish for, Leeds truly has it all.
Fulneck Golf Course
A 120-year-old mature golf course built around a valley with picturesque views of chocolate box Yorkshire. Only £12 a round this course is a perfect example of what golfers can expect from a decent 9 hole course.
Some level of decent fitness are required for this course due to the number of hills and high contours you will face, taking a trolley could be a good option to conserve energy so you don’t get too much fatigue for the last hole which is a blind slight dog leg up hill Par 4.

City Golf
This golf course is literally 5 minutes from the city centre; it’s a pay & play no frills course and offers excellent value for money at just £5 for a round of golf.
Regular users will understand that the no frills label does literally mean that, please don’t expect silky smooth greens or white sand bunkers. If you are a low handicapper then this course isn’t for you, but if you are starting on your golfing journey, a high handicapper or just want to have fun then this course is great,
You can also hire clubs when you are here so simply turn up and enjoy !

Roundhay Golf Course
Nestled in the affluent area of Roundhay, this municipal golf course is a hidden away down a side street and touches the edges Rounday Park.
This course is similar to Fulneck Golf Course as this is also built around a hill, entry is only £12.50 for 9 holes but you can pay for 18 and simply go round twice. There is a driving range here but you need to bring your own golf balls and then retrieve them afterwards.
There is also a restaurant on the grounds and there is also a small stocked shop and a clubhouse with llicensed drinks and food to relax after the round and watch golfers come back up to the 9th green.

Village Golf Course
Found on the outskirts of Leeds in between Leeds and Harrogate, this 9 hole course has a hidden additional 3 holes that will challenge and excite any keen golfer.
From £10 a round with the option to pay a little extra for the 3 water challenges, this course is set in the stunning landscapes of rural Yorkshire, it’s a 25 minute drive from Leeds City Centre but it’s well worth the visit.
The ground staff here are amazing and have created and nurtured some of the best greens in the area, this is well worth the visit and suits medium handicappers.

Oulton Hall Golf Course
This is a golfing destination rather than a golf course, Oulton Hall boasts both a 9 and 18 hole golf course, a Trackman driving range, a well stocked store and 19 hole bar & restaurant.
During off peak you can sometimes a variable series of 9 holes from either courses but in peak summer you will always play 19 to 27 which is found to the left of the course next to the 4 star hotel and spa.
9 hole starts from around £15 off peak rising to £19 peak, one of the best holes of Oulton is found on the 9 hole course which is the hole #24, a stunning Par 4, you start from a lofted position with a straight drive, followed by a solid strike across the water onto the green.
